Power, money, acceleration, noise, violence
Marijuana, coke, opiates, Prozac
They all scratch that same itch
The itch that God put there
A longing for validation, love and union
A union with what?
Myself, Mommy, Daddy, the family of God?
A soulmate, "the one", a child, myself?
An audience, humankind, a congregation, a community?
Me, myself, a God I can't know, Who and what?
